We’re looking for a highly motivated HR Generalist who will oversee and support the full spectrum of human resources functions within the organization, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

This role's will have the following day-to-day duties:

Employee Relations

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, addressing grievances and conflicts in compliance with company policies and ISO standards.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture through employee engagement programs and open communication channels.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover trends to improve retention strategies.
  • Ensure disciplinary actions are handled fairly, following company guidelines and labor laws.

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment, ensuring job descriptions, candidate screening, interviews, and selection processes align with ISO standards.
  • Conduct background checks and reference verifications before hiring.
  • Develop structured onboarding programs to ensure new employees integrate smoothly into the organization.
  • Maintain recruitment and onboarding records for audit purposes, in compliance with ISO documentation requirements.

HR Policies and Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and regularly update HR policies and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) or relevant ISO standards.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, workplace safety regulations, and ethical employment practices.
  • Conduct internal audits of HR processes to ensure adherence to company policies and ISO requirements.
  • Assist in preparing HR-related documents for ISO certification audits and external regulatory inspections.

Benefits and Compensation Administration

  • Oversee benefits and compensation processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Manage employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, leave benefits, etc.), ensuring proper documentation and ISO compliance.
  • Conduct periodic salary benchmarking and job evaluations to maintain fair and competitive compensation structures.
  • Handle employee queries related to compensation and benefits while maintaining confidentiality.

Performance Management

  • Implement and monitor performance appraisal systems, ensuring consistency and alignment with ISO standards and business objectives.
  • Coordinate performance review cycles, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and assist managers in setting performance improvement plans.
  • Support employee training and development programs to enhance skills, competency, and career growth.
  • Maintain records of performance reviews and training sessions as required for ISO audits.

HR Reporting and Records Management

  • Maintain accurate and updated employee records, including contracts, appraisals, attendance, and disciplinary actions, in line with ISO documentation requirements.
  • Generate HR-related reports for management, including workforce analytics, absenteeism trends, and employee satisfaction surveys.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of employee data, adhering to ISO standards for document control and information security.
  • Assist in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance HR efficiency and compliance.

General HR Support

  • Provide support in company-wide HR initiatives, including diversity and inclusion programs, wellness initiatives, and employee engagement activities.
  • Assist in workplace safety and health compliance, collaborating with the safety team to align HR policies.
  • Participate in ISO-related meetings, internal audits, and compliance training sessions.
  • Support HR leadership in strategic planning, policy revisions, and organizational development projects.

 

Required Skills, Qualifications & Attributes

To be successful in this role, the ideal applicant will possess the following attributes and qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related field
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in HR generalist roles, preferably in an ISO-certified company or a highly regulated industry
  • Experience in HR policy development, compliance, and internal audits is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with ISO standards related to HR processes (e.g., ISO 9001:2015 or ISO 14001:2015) is an advantage

Technical & Compliance Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulatory compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Experience in ISO documentation, internal audits, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of payroll processing, benefits administration, and performance management systems.

Soft Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with employees and management.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to handle employee concerns professionally.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records for ISO audits.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, confidentiality, and ethical HR practices.

Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):

  • HR certifications such as CHRA, CHRP, or a local equivalent
  • ISO training certifications in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) or related
