Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will include:

Operations Management

  • Ensures that operations are running in an effective, efficient, and timely manner aligned with DBSA’s policies and processes and client’s SLAs
  • Responsible for the preparation of site operations manual and other site-specific documents
  • Manage the development of strategies, systems, and work processes to improve operations of each account
  • Provides standard operations reports to DBSA management and clients, and leads quarterly client review meetings
  • Manages the site contract so that gross profit margins are met or exceeded
  • Successfully puts forward proposals for additional services to the clients in coordination with DBSA management
  • Discuss any changes to the contract with the client, documents the changes, and communicates effectively to site staff and users
  • Manages the approval of suppliers' invoices and ensures accurate recharging to the client
  • Understands the detail of the contract and applies this knowledge well, both in terms of service delivery and accurate invoicing of clients
  • Leads project management transition and operations set up for new clients and new services
  • Ensure quality control of all company output with respect to delivery of service and client relationship
  • Manage cost and efficiency through optimizing and improving people, process, and technology
    .

Client Management

  • Understands the client’s business and has stature in the eyes of the client and gains respect for DBSA
  • Builds and maintains a good working relationship with DBSA’s existing and potential clients
  • Handles requests and resolves high-level incidents and issue escalations within prescribed turnaround time
  • Discuss solutions on how to improve DBSA and client relationship (process, cost, employee benefits, others)

People Management
Leadership

  • Shows excellent leadership skills in developing a high service culture with engaged employees and strong commitment to customer service
  • Sets and exemplifies high standards of professionalism and integrity
  • Communicates effectively and listens well at all level
  • Ability to work on own initiative, dealing positively with setbacks and challenges
  • Appreciates own limitations, working proactively on these where appropriate

Staff Development

  • Adopts a coaching style to involve staff in their own development
  • Develops flexible, multi-skilled account officers and site leaders, working as a committed team so all jobs are well covered
  • Monitor employee performance by working on site leaders for the team’s output and compliance to DBSA policies and processes

 

Required Skills, Qualifications & Attributes

To be successful in this role, the ideal applicant will possess the following attributes and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience, ideally in a commercial environment where dealing with clients is a core aspect of the role
  • Preferably with experience working in a logistics, facilities management, courier, or mailroom management company
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and senior leadership team
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop practical solutions
  • Proven track record of team development and engagement, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve their full potential
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Strong work ethic and desire to achieve excellence in all aspects of the role
